The final week of the module encouraged us to reflect on our learning journey and look at how it could shape our future work as entrepreneurs. Looking back at how I developed my fashion collection, I can see how the project became a practical example of experiential learning. I continuously tested, evaluated and refines ideas.. According to Kolb (1984), learning occurs through cycles of experience, reflection, and experimentation, which aligns with my experience in this module.

One of the most important things I learned was to recognize my own strengths as an entrepreneur. I found that I am especially confident in coming up with concepts and creative ideas. Generating ideas and building narratives around garments comes naturally to me, and working with the theme of connection helped me design a collection that blends emotion with structure. I also noticed that I am comfortable sharing and explaining my ideas to others, which is an important skill for pitching and communicating a brand vision.

The project also showed me where I can improve. I tend to avoid risk and prefer routine, but entrepreneurship often means trying new things and dealing with uncertainty, something I will need to become more comfortable with as I continue developing my career. I also recognise that I can get defensive when I receive criticism because I care a lot about my work. I want to learn to see feedback as an opportunity to improve, not a threat to my ideas.

Even with these challenges, the process made me more confident in my concept’s potential. The positive feedback on the collection suggests there is an opportunity to develop this aesthetic into a unique brand that explores the relationship between lingerie and tailoring. Moving forward, I want to keep refining the concept while carefully considering factors such as fabric, production, and market positioning.

This project goes beyond the creative process; it looks at design innovation in fashion entrepreneurship. I developed a modular system that lets lingerie and outerwear connect and interact, offering a new way to put together outfits. This idea follows Schumpeter’s concept of innovation, where entrepreneurs create value by combining existing elements in new ways (Schumpeter, 1934). Instead of seeing lingerie as something hidden, my collection makes it the main structural and visual part of an outfit. Through this work, I saw how experimenting with design can lead to both new looks and product innovation in fashion.

Overall, this module taught me that fashion entrepreneurship involves not just creativity, but also adaptability, resilience, and strategic thinking. Building this collection gave me a strong foundation for developing my future brand.
